Product Overview
The HPN Series Harmonic Planetary gearbox is a precision servo mount gearhead offering low backlash below 3 arc-min and high torsional stiffness. Available in inline HPN-A and HPN-L configurations as well as right angle HPN-RA. Frame sizes 11 through 90mm with ratios 3:1 to 100:1.
The HPN Series is a fully integrated rotary actuator combining servo motor, harmonic gear reducer, encoders, servo electronics, and compact mechanical packaging in a single assembly.
Servo Mount Gearhead Architecture
Harmonic Planetary and Harmonic Drive gearheads mount directly to standard servo motors using a flange or shaft input interface. The Quick Connect coupling system allows motor exchange without realignment. The cross roller output bearing provides direct load support.
Quick Connect Motor Mount
Rapid motor exchange without realignment tools, compatible with most servo motor flange standards.
Low Backlash
Less than 3 arc-min standard. Less than 1 arc-min available as an option on most series.
Cross Roller Output
Integrated cross roller bearing supports radial, axial, and moment loads without additional bearings.
Continuous Compensation
Continuous backlash compensation maintains low backlash throughout the gear life.
High Torsional Stiffness
High stiffness minimises compliance in the drive train for precise dynamic positioning.
Grease Lubricated for Life
No maintenance lubrication required over the operating life of the gearhead.
Typical Applications
The HPN Series suits servo motor driven robot joints, precision index tables, semiconductor wafer stages, laser beam steering, AGV and AMR propulsion drives, and any precision motion application requiring a servo mount gearhead with low backlash and high moment stiffness.
